truth & soul praesentiert die instrumentalversion des letzten lee fields & the expressions albums faithful man. für die produktion waren jeff silverman und leon michels verantwortlich, die schon federführend bei aloe blaccs i need a dollar hit-single und dem album good things ihr koennen unter beweis stellten. leon michels ist auch als kopf der el michels affair und mitglied der bands bronx river parkway, menahan street band und the mighty imperials bekannt. er spielte auch auf diversen produktionen für daptone records instrumente ein.
