ekhowax is the second personal release of george apergis (owner of modular expansion records). available in a limited 12 inch vinyl, ekhowax expands the artists club vision of his early detroit releases into a dub techno territory, filled with dark atmopsheres and a crowd pleasing vocal. the release inludes 3 massive remixes, the first one being the remix from the dynamic spanish duo nx1, that go darker with their pumping futuristic revision. the second remix comes from the legendary truncate aka audio injection, who creates the perfect club tool with his unique us chicago style, an instant hit. the release is sealed with the deep minimal and melodic cover, from the upcoming paris artist birth of frequency (of construct re-form crew).

modular expansion is a fresh new techno label, based in athens - greece. the labels first release (a limited white colored edition 12 inch) comes from the head of m.e., george apergis. the debut single features the track >quelle<, a detroit-ish techno/club oriented track, with a distinctive chord progression and solid bassline. the release also includes 3 striking remixes from international artists.
the first one comes from the acknowledged german artist johannes volk (exploration), who re-creates a dub version of the original track. the second remix comes from the rising scene of paris and zadig (construct re-form/ sino), who evolves the track into a groovy and deep experience. last but not least, the remix of irish technohead lee holman (kawl) introduces a darker approach, setting a minimal atmosphere with a unique vocal.
