boney m. waren die definitive supergroup der disco-Ära. mit ihrem frischen pop-sound und ihrer sexy-show gelangen ihnen seit ihrem ersten top-hit »daddy cool« aus dem jahr 1975 außerordentliche erfolge am laufenden band. bis heute wurden von den schallplatten der formation mehr als 50 millionen singles und über 60 millionen alben verkauft. mehr als 800 silber-, gold- und platin-auszeichnungen stehen heute im trophäenzimmer von frank farian, dem mit seiner opulenten mixtur aus karibischen klängen, heißen disco beats und black music-elementen das erfolgreichste deutsche musikkonzept der 70er und frühen 80er jahre gelungen ist.
für die 2017 vinyl re-editionen der lps wurde die vorder- und rückseite des original artworks sowie das original tracklisting der lp aus dem jahr 1984 verwendet. für die bestmögliche klangqualität bekam die re-edition ein high-resolution re-mastering von der original-master-quelle spendiert. mm sound wurde, wie damals für das original, für das mastering verpflichtet.
