a perfect example for the second category is the lnz013 track rezolution. even though limited on 500 white label copies, this hypnotic minimal trip became an incredible public success over the last two months. not only, but especially on ibiza, the feos & miroir production is regularly spinned by all important tech house djs. not set the dance floor alight or keep it ablaze with rezolution is a big faux pas the party crowd hardly could accept. due to the overwhelming demand for the lnz013 (and the fact that its sold out mostly everywhere) the label decided to press a second edition of this legendary tune. unlike the tria track of the limited vinyl, the flipside comes with a re-edit version of rezolution, produced by pascal feos studio mate chris wood. extended to 8.30 minutes of playtime, he retained all stunning sound elements of the original, re-arranged them, gave great new accents and lifted the track cleverly up to an even higher, minimal house energetic level. thats why we dont call it a b-, but aa-side track

this is how it started focuses heavily on the early days of the chicago sound, especially in the formative years at ron hardy s music box.
following chicago s disco demolition night in 1979 the genre s popularity fell dramatically, hence fewer disco records being released.in this era chicago s djs such as hot mix 5, hardy, knuckles & jesse saunders played a variety of styles mixing in italo, electronic pop music, electro-funk and older disco joints often playing their own edits which focusing on the portions of the songs which always rocked the dancefloor. at the end of 1982, when dj frankie knuckles left the warehouse to open the power plant, ron hardy started to dj at the warehouse s new location until owner robert williams renamed it the music box. in 1984, a local label released a 12-inch single called -on and on- by locals jesse saunders & vince lawrence who had simple made the song in order to replace a record which had been stolen from saunders collection, the -on & on- bootleg disco megamix by mach. hence chicago house music was born and a modern day phenomenon followed.

after the huge success of degree 002 by nick curly, which was played a lot on the hot summer festivals 2013, the label now comes up with its 3rd cracker called >nature calls ep< of the three romanian guys horatio, elchinsoul and gruia. three well-known artists, who will again let degree impact on the dancefloors around. despite the stylistic variety of three producers, a clear golden thread runs through the sound. it combines the sultry soul of romania and lets the blood boil in your veins. all in all degree again releases a totally different record, which however has its typical style. high-class sound which is told by artists, who tell more than just one story. a powerful ep for each moment in life and on the dancefloor.
