vaghe is a man of few words. he wanders, seemingly endlessly, through a lonely, gargantuan labyrinth of concrete and steel, fighting off ghosts and other futuristic nightmares, searching only for something called the full stream ahead. who is this quiet, determined man and what are these ghosts he seeks? the small communities he finds tucked into the crevices of this towering, dystopic ruin hardly give him leads on his treasure, driving him to find larger enclaves of civilization where people can reveal more about the world he lives in and the quarry he seeks. if vaghe is going to find the treasure he seeks, he will need more help and information than the inhabitants of these beleaguered outposts can offer. he needs to find a larger cluster of civilization, but he’ll have to survive the trip to get there, first… following his 2014 ‘sweet sixteen’, and his 2015 ‘abstract speed + sound’ other people is pleased to announce the full stream ahead: the prologue by turin’s daniele mana aka vaghe stelle. previously associated with italian label gang of ducks and a current member of production group one circle with fellow nationals lorenzo senni and a:ra, daniele’s roots in the emerging italian production scene run deep and place him at its center.

ethimms second ep when in dark delivers the groups signature tension music with moods oscillating between suicidal heartbreak and conciliatory optimism. in the opening track why (a cover of the rhythm and sound classic), producer elisabeth thimm sets the stage for guest singer veronique to mourn love s loss, while brian gimmel s improvised piano licks hold strong agains the songs relentless bassline. the follow-up track late features lexx s dreamy lyrics gracing a subtle dance foor tune for spaced-out souls. the b side opens with ethimms love for dub. next is a freaked-out meditation on what has been and will be, while the fnal track done slowly creeps towards its peak, refecting on dark days where light may have not been much in sight, but going forward sees optimism, increased resolution, and drive.

big with:ernesto ferreyra, the mole, akufen, vincent lemeuix.. inspired by classic disco and electro, dkmd have already produced several dance music tracks, using old and new technology in order to come up with a unique sound which pays homage to their predecessors without sounding pastiche. echoes of giorgio moroder and donna summer can be felt throughout on the other side, while the playful and sensual taxi cab recounts the familiar story of an early morning phone call received by a girl in a cab, on her way home from a pleasurable night out. perhaps it is their experience playing together as improvisers that adds a special touch to their dance music,as they have grown accustomed to perform almost every element in their tracks using hardware intruments and effect boxes.in addition to their disco project,the two have a considerable track record as experimentalists and the dark,cosmic and mysterious androide is a good example of some of their output in the genre.even though dkmd are only at the beginning of their dancefloor adventures,they show no signs of stopping,and when asked what comes next,they will likely answer
