nice price deal !!! following our quest for inventive approaches within the sometimes tired and highly commodified house / tech house / techno / minimal or whatever you call it scene, we ve gone this time for landesvatter. regardless of having already signed a few full lenght lps on the highly esteemed normoton as well as on under_line and others, joachim landesvatter prefers to keep a low-key atittude. he offers us two great tracks, each one followed by a very special remix. the original of nome is a highly bouncy digitech house track for the dancefloor, with an infectious sinewave to keep you hooked from beggining to end. the remix of nome, in charge of arp aubert (marco niemerski aka tensnake & stephan lorenz) who run the great mirau musik, comes on the form of a hysterical dub house track that literally puts >the roof in the air<. we recommended for full effect to keep the volume on the red. as usual, the second half of the release follows at a quieter pace. hausse is a track on a out to lunch tradition, greatly influenced by detroit but at the same time distancing itself from the current plethora of nostalgics. in-house duo taron-trekka closes the package with a deep remix, rich on freaky jazz touches. we lack words to describe it.

when wph boss red d heard toriton being played by ken ishii during a wph radio takeover on belgiums studio brussel radio station he ran to the booth and knew this track had wph written all over it. not abiding to any trends, just devastatingly beautiful house music. some licence negotiations and months later satoshi fumi agreed and made lalalalaland, a brand new track to go along with toriton and make up this ep the title track has that unmistakable detroit feel that takes you from melancholy to euphoria and back, while lalalalaland has been described by people hearing it in red ds sets this summer as japanese sunset trance or end of the night eyes closed hands in the air stuff. whatever the words, its the music that counts and satoshi fumi takes his place among the wph family in style!

physical therapy assembles a flurry of kicks and thick breaks around deep subs and tender harmonies. lush moments are balanced with saturated rhythms, pushing the momentum in each tune. spoken words skip over dubbed out synths on more sugar, always a euphoric treat on the dance floor! on the b-side, pt flexes for the verdant tropical techno of string thing. play at 45 for the desensitized mix or slow things down to 33 for a balearic sensitized mix. both mixes available direct from the sounds of beaubien ouest bandcamp.

after a very successful label launch last year with in aeternam vale - �self destruct� ep, linda records returns with another straight talking, analog fuelled 10�. this time welcoming aboard berlin based russian artist alexey volkov. his three track ep �cold blooded genius� comes finely presented on transparent red ten inch vinyl (limited pressing). whilst staying true to its current white label feel, this time linda s trademark eyes, also a fitting red. on the a side at 45rpm the title track �cold blooded genius� and on the b side two tracks will spin at 33rpm, �unfriendly nation� & �curtains of flesh�. we hate to categorise and attempt to summarise what these pieces of music craft sound like into words, we�ll leave you to indulge for a short time to the machine noise of the highly regarded talent that is alexey volkov.

the second of two zentrum spinoffs is with us! as with the first, it comes loaded with four remixes. octo octa, vito & druzzi, cooper saver and turbotito, and lemonade all handed in top-notch reimaginings of tracks off jacques renault s debut lp, which came out just under a year ago, and they all somehow manage to be unique unto themselves while also sublimely bleeding into one another. octo octas rendering of mi casa samba serves as a propulsive beginning thats as dark and druggy as it is sharp and focused. vito & druzzis take on faith runs in a similar vein, but in a more stripped-back, drawn-out, and patient sort of way, it is nearly ten minutes long, so this is perhaps not a surprise. the b s remixes are brighter, sunnier, though that s not to say they re not bold. cooper saver and turbotito s redo of words has a certain funky swing to it that, paired with spacey synths and balearic bells and whistles, makes it ideal daytime disco fodder. the lemonade boys close the ep with their vibey take on faith. pads for days, a plump bass, and a focus on the original s sax make you wonder if the song itself somehow got stoned from a couple extra giant bong rips. a fitting way to end both the 12inch and the summer.

in this offering by the berlin-based and made in the middle east label disco halal, we urge you to meet nadav spiegel, better known as autarkic. autarkic is a self-sufficient artist and live virtuoso, he is the first member of the disco halal family which will be releasing his music in spring 2016. �can you pass the knife?� is about the struggle being stucked in a gap between longing to his homeland and what it could have been like and a heavy criticism on what it actually became. it will be a mini-lp containing 6 mesmerizing songs, �asi keta g�, �solo gun�, �watch out�, �the misorientation of autarkic�, �ufo (space version)� and �tender lies�. that might sound like only a combination of random words now, but after being heard, these songs will help you to enter the embodiment of autarkic� and allow you to save a piece of his soul on your shelf. shimmering melodies, gibberish language, haunting vocals, extended beat programming and one-take recordings, should mark the beginning of a new disco halal phase. after releasing mainly edits from around the transcultural hemmesphere, the transition to original exquisite music seems to be a necessity.

the 1st remix comes from berlin based markus suckut. a subtle angle is taken on reflect which makes the remix feel sustainable. just the perfect remix to include in his impeccable oeuvre. all the way from finland is analog devotee samuli kemppi, who takes care of the 2nd remix. samuli creates a sudden tension with builds up until the very end. a001, from amsterdam, turns the original reflect into a obscure remix with an perplexing 2nd half. a001s mysterious and quiet appearance is a paradox compare to his musical output. twr72 closes the ep with the bonus track *response*. a solid and barbarous answer to reflect. no words are further needed.

ltd repress - trio ternura (or tenderness trio) consisted of two sisters, jussara, jurema and their brother robson. their father, umberto silva was a revered brazilian songwriter and recording artist who introduced his children to the music world at a very young age. after performing some songs on broadcast television and at festivals early on, their father umberto and brother, beto scala wrote a gira for the trio to record. the song is a tribute to nature, spirituality and mindfulness. the hommage is made through a form of cantico (chant) or saudação (salutation), aimed at invoking an orisha named oxossi. otherwise known as saints, orishas are the deities worshiped in the afro-brazilian religion of candomblé. african religion and culture have had an undeniable impact in brazil, especially in music and on artists with african roots as its rituals were often accompanied by music comprising highly percussive drumming. as a result, a gira, an homage to a candomblé deity recorded in 1973 involves mesmerizing polyrhythms from the very first few bars and throughout, followed by the sisters soaring vocals and impeccable instrumentation. its a song that they can really identify with, in their own words it has the dancing, the expression, the lyrics and musical relaxation - something very brazilian. originally released on polydor in brazil, fully licensed and remastered from the tapes - mel012 comes forth in its 7-inch original vinyl format and digitally, b/w trio ternuras stunning version of gato barbieris last tango in paris and is accompanied by the first bilingual melozine.

gatto�s second album represents a complete excursus of his personal and professional paths, into which he combines music, words, studies, researches and experiments. along with the album, split in two parts and to be released on both his labels out-er and pregnant void, the artist is also releasing his first essay, named as the album, the latter offers a theoretical and practical analysis on the use of sounds and frequencies in diverse areas of interest, dedicating space to music therapy and primordial techniques as well as their application in the current digital and virtual era.
both the album and the essay result from gatto�s personal experiences as well as his ten-year�s artistic career: the love of his motherland and his parents, the first approach to clubs, the studies about the potentiality of frequencies, the electroacoustic experimentation and last but not least, the aesthetic sonorous research.
