iro aka sind zurück auf hivern mit dem letzten teil der trilogie, die 2020 mit -el passatge de les ombres- begann. das aktuelle album -planet earth-, das auch auf cd erscheinen wird, zeigt eine neue seite des katalanischen duos. die sieben songs teilen einen klinischen ansatz im sounddesign von perkussion und ambient. stücke wie der opener -14.696- bauen sich langsam auf, während -aquamarine-, eine der singles, eine euphorischere seite des projekts zeigt. diese kombination aus spannung, spacigen beats und hypnotischen schnitten spiegelt iro akas bestreben wider, ein kohärentes und fesselndes werk zu schaffen, das sich lohnt, gründlich durchgehört zu werden. illustration von vica pacheco und design von eenyakee.
