victor calderone has stepped up for his first solo release on drumcode with his two track single, burden. featuring two energetic tracks, *skin* and *burden*, victor has used effected vocals to create funky rhythms over the top of some steaming kick drums. the synth stabs lend themselves well across this ep particularly in *burden* where they really augment the flow of the track. the use of percussion phrases throughout both tracks on the single also reinforces the grooves and adds character to create a distinctive sound that keeps the single fresh and exciting.

nebraska is someone who�s tracks we�ve been loving for a good few years now and finally managed to pin him down for a release here on delusions of grandeur. the uk producer is something of an enigma, and despite some amazing releases on rush hour still remains resolutely underground and seems to keep his releases to a minimum, focusing on keeping the quality high rather than flooding the market with average material. once again, he brings the real deal with three drum-heavy warehouse jams to nice-up the dancefloor. aw-right (mute version) sets the tone with a raw house groove that keeps things stripped to the bare minimum. a bouncing bassline and rattling percussion break help to define the track but it�s the dusty, dubby approach to the mix which really makes the track shine. next up we have warp and weft, a similar sounding track but by dropping the bpm�s nebraska has created a sublime low-slung, bumpy groove to really move to. flipping over we�re treated to the brilliant eighty eights which will have you nodding your head like the churchill�s dog before you can say �looped up piano and bass one bar groove repeated for over eight and a half minutes shouldn�t work should it?�

daniel savio - the swede who coined the term �skwee� back in 2006 when the first odd-sounding electro-funked and tempo-twirling 7inches came about from finland and sweden. his 6-track record for laton consists of true-to-the-game skwee sounds and rhythms incl. oriental-like melodies that has been penetrating the genre for years. harmonic in melody, diverse in tempo from the originator. laton presents some of the proprietors of skwee & the phenomenon of this fennoscandian sound with three different 12inches and a lp compilation. �holtiton� was originally released in 2012, limited and is back on demand.

its winter in detroit and fit siegel has given us * carmine*, a moody techno classic perfect for the lonely season. subtle, low-key and thumping, the title track revolves around a bittersweet piano lead, elegiac 303 and blade runner string swells. its a high-tech driving song in the tradition of model 500s low-key classic * pick up the flow* and fit sounds more assured than ever. * first found* is mills-ian jigsaw puzzle techno imbued with breathy and addictive humanity. stacatto, free-jazz informed piano solos lock into ping-pong synths -- eventually, a female vocal emerges over a bed of arpeggiated bass. loose yet robotic, * first found* is first-rate detroit techno mysticism. the record as a whole is a worthy entry into the motor citys storied canon from a leader of the new school.

london-based producer and dj warren brown, also known as wbeeza, has written three exclusive tracks for arma at his studio in peckham. the psychosomatic ep is named after its intense, dancefloor-oriented title track and will be released on arma. the vinyl, with accompanying cover artwork created by moscow surritualist protey temen, will hit major online retailers in march 2015.

mr mckay is back on drumcode with an ep that is very close to home, titled *glasgow safari*. harvey has blended his synonymous synth stabs and vocal hooks together and has created another outstanding ep. the drums are fat and chunky as always and allow harveys ideas to flow effortlessly over a solid foundation. the smooth use of dynamic throughout harveys tracks also create impressive drops to add to another exceptional ep from harvey.

the soul notes imprint has never restricted itself to just one sound. ever since it emerged in late 2011, the basque county based outfit has shown several sides of its identity and has developed into a diverse and well balanced home. one of the labels usual suspects is cologne native, adryiano. after reaping some havoc with his efforts on the snx series early last year, adryiano has been crafting his down south ep (ironically) somewhere in the north rhine-westphalian concrete jungle. the down south ep is buldging with deep sine basses, fine rhythmic synthwork and lavish but hefty beats. the title track showcases these exact things best. the essence of adryiano s latest effort is still somewhat hard to pin down. a lot of different moods are going on throughout the ep while the overall sounds maintains it s own glance. from the deep machinefunk on down south to the broken beats of feel what you do. all of these bits have a nice theme to them.

brooklyns person of interest returns to l.i.e.s. after his widely celebrated *call this number* debut from last year. once again we hear p.o.i. delivering the goods on the subtle yet massive*-what you think you want* with its phazed flutes, sleazy vocal, and rough house beats. *keep it moving* does just that on the b-side, again with a slinky laid back and somewhat sinister feel, whereas *my 97s* almost has a grime/uk kind of swing to it. comes in an amazing full sleeve picture cover designed by pete leonard and p.o.i. dancefloor approved.

morris audio welcomes italian hot shot kocleo! a skill full dj and producer, kocleo has been releasing his music on labels like definitive and recently on kerri chandlers madtech. the 4 tunes of his *float* ep are pure tech house. *float* starts with lush organ stabs with echoing vocals and strings, continuing with a bass led house cut and percussions. the deep and dubby *float* remix is by another up and coming versatile italian producer: whitesquare (skint, noir or defected).

there is quite a charming story of mutual love between borrowed identity and tenderpark behind this record. the two have been exchanging letters of enthusiasm for each other for quite some time. and so the idea of this joint record has grown very naturally.

though moving vision is the fourth ep the japanese producer-and-dj has released on yore, it arrives more than four years after the appearance of tokyo connection and five after city soul and butterfly - even more his return to yore keeps bursting with fresh energy.

currently causing quite a stir on the underground, the jerome hill remix of marshall jeffersons s trax classic lost in the groove is a complete re-interpretation, solid jacking (hard) house music using the original vocal that s cut loud onto the vinyl and worms inside your head and has been doing serious damage in the clubs and festivals last year. now with all licensing and red tape cleared away, it s set for release. dancer boom boom is actually a collaboration between acid legend adonis and sidney winters, with a mix down by house legend frankie knuckles. this sat on the b side of am a dog on trax records and is rare & obscure to say the least, but once the needle touches the groove you know it s a killer. massive kick drums and mysterious organ scales, this one is a mad mad tune ! produced in 1987 (and sounding like nothing else from that year) it s been given a very slight and very respectful re-arrangement by jerome hill, remastered and cut super loud. strictly limited and if the previous titles on the label are anything to go by, this one will sell out equally quick.
