after thomas brinkmanns first new ep since long, its now time for the second curle offering of 2010. 3 of the most relevant producers all on one vinyl. big!
lurking in the back of every transportation vehicle there allways is someone who is up to no good... someone who vandalizes other peoples property & wrecks havoc everywhere he goes. their called lowlifes... bullies of the city... scum of the earth! they dont give a shit about anybody else. just thinking where they re at now and how they can raise hell in any possible way. matt-u has stood up and offered his dope ep as a meaning of destruction upon the non believers. the a side deliveres chaos unlike we ever seen before. people pulling and hitting each other, turning themselves into scum of the night... not giving a shit about the rest. flip it over to b1 for heads up - it ll be the last time anything happens unnoticed. keeping the scum people focused and ready for action. take cover keeps everything in check, the announcer warns people of this terrible threat thats gripping itself among the crowds. so run like crazy if you want to be safe. this is not a drill!!

after a long break mainakustik is back with a strong two tracker produced by matt brown from italy. he is already known from various releases on imprints like einmaleins, below,
side a >balancoire< is a great starter with groovy trumpet samples and warm driving basslines. side b >moneare< comes around with a hypnotic percusion rhythm. after a while the bassdrum gets in and the dancers freak out. just try it - 2 excellent functional tools for the dancefloors!
the 9th release on excentric muziks off-shoot rekluse brings with it a very welcome edition to the rekluse family, we are sure matt cooper is somebody who you will be hearing a lot more about in the nearest future, that is if you havent heard of him already...
from his mixmag >future hero< tag, to his efx1000 tutorial videos for pioneer (he has been likened to james zabiela but with bigger bass lines) and his ongoing residency at the dirty disco in leeds (the northern light was the original home for the club night which the ep title pays homage to), the only piece missing from his jigsaw was the production side of things, until now. he recently teamed up with spektre to launch their new respekt label with the >cuernos cubanos< collaboration, and now we are very proud to present matts first ever solo productions, brought together as >the northern light ep<.
>pack your trunks< is dark twisted statement of intent, with a hearthrob-esque hook giving off the feeling that the track is ever so slightly on the brink of loosing it, before that tough gloomy groove reminds you just why you were listening in the first place, and why you have to listen to it just that one more time...
>triptup< attacks with a driving upbeat vibe that also arrives with a crazy tinged edge to it, keeping the dance floor bouncing off the walls, this has never failed to receive anything less than devastating reactions during its many roadtests on our travels.
>the swinger< rounds off the ep with a kinky tech houser that swaps the power of its 2 harder brothers for some chirpy tomfoolery, without compromising on its absolute effectiveness to well and truly rock the party whilst getting completely stuck in your head. and dont forget the breakdown...
saved records continues their busy release schedule towards the close of 2009 with one of their strongest packages to date, a release from marc ashken and matt tolfrey. between them, the duo have released tracks on respected labels such as cocoon, perc trax, crosstown rebels, viva, and matts label leftroom. for their saved release, the duo present >babygirl<, an amazing deep house track, which is layered with deep twisted vocals and is sure to destroy the dance floors over the christmas clubbing period and right into 2010.
alongside the original on the a-side is a remix from none other than legend derrick carter. known for being one of the best underground house djs and producers on the planet, derricks incredible remix keeps the deep, grooving feel that the original possesses and includes the vocals which he has edited to great effect. alongside his sharp use of hi-hats to keep the track flowing, the track drops into and back out of the bass line to create a great end product.
on the flipside, the second remix comes from amsterdam based artist, daniel sanchez. the bla bla label owner delivers an amazing take on the track, presenting a much more stripped down and ambient result, perfect for warming the night up with.
the >babygirl< package is a must for all deep house djs.

the into the night ep is a wonderful deep, slow & moving record that should be one of the highlights in this years autumn sessions. into the night kicks off with some wild pitch alike chords and builds up soulful, moody but strong. tectonic move is so damn groovy and might be one the funkiest trax ever coming out of the metaworld universe of matt flores. also the tempo of almost 120 bpm is sexy as hell... all percussions & the bass are played live by matt flores. tectonic move also features some extatic detroitish synths that makes you scream. a definitive winner! the tectonic move flores & saenger dub has been rearranged a bit by matt flores and farsides ingo saenger (one half of westpark unit). they stripped the tune, put more focus on the groove and re dubbed all harmonies & synths. the result is a funky smokers riddim for all you dubby tool headz out there.
