Following the much lauded release of his ‘Reformers’ VA extended player in 2017, French techno goliath and FORM Music head honcho, POPOF, now announces the second instalment of the critically acclaimed vinyl-only series – ‘Reformers Vol. 2’.
Due for release in early 2019, Reformers Vol. 2 is an exclusive, vinyl-only package featuring four of the heaviest cuts released on FORM Music over the course of 2018. Leading by example, label boss POPOF kicks off proceedings with the mighty ‘Bowo’ – a perfect, tension filled opener, packed with mind-melting synths, warped vocals and crisp drum loops, each used to devastating effect.
The slightly slower tempo of POPOF’s intro paves the way for the earth-shattering sub-bass of UMEK’s ‘Quest Chain’, as the Slovenian veteran and 1605 Music Therapy boss steps up to the plate with a white knuckle ride through saw-tooth bass and slamming kicks. Set About co-founder Metodi Hristov provides the penultimate track of the package with his dark, hard-hitting remix of Apollo 84’s ‘Mantis’, before rising French compatriot The Reactivitz hits home with the unrelenting ‘Seth’, to complete another titanic release on FORM Music.
