Spatial Cues is a series of split singles sounding out main(void)’s and Kon Janson’s shared musical space. Operating out of Berlin and London, the two artists join forces to showcase their mutual vision of techno music. CUES001 starts off the series with two immersive yet driving tracks, both built upon breathing and soughing atmospheres that wrap themselves around clear-cut, straightforward rhythms. Guided by bleepy accents, CUES001 A takes you on a stormy 10 minute ride through subtly shifting layers of sound, revealing its hidden depths in two slowly climaxing breaks. Steadily evolving towards its floating finale, CUES001 B contrasts a mesmerising percussion pattern with a steaming machine sound that loses itself in endless feedback cascades.
