A1. JIMMY EDGAR AKA HER BAD HABIT My Bad Habit (Fakesch Remix) [Citinite]
Warp-artist Jimmy Edgar is almost cult amongst Analoguesynth freaks...Jimmy has propably any analogue gear which ever came out and so it was clear from the beginning this remix will be pure analogue too. Classic electrofunk, relatively atypic for a Fakesch production, but therefore superb!


A2. HERBERT feat. Taprikk Sweezee Something Isn't Right (Fakesch) [!K7]
The first post-Funkstörung remix and then even for the Überproducer Matthew Herbert!
Remix? Actually this is a coverversion as Taprikk Sweezee replaces the brilliant voice of Dave Okumu, Dani Siciliano and Neil Thomas in an equally brilliant way. Hitech Funk par excellence!


A3. JEAN JACQUES PERREY & COSMIC POCKET Frooots/Psyche (Fakesch Remix) [Invitro Records]
Being a very good friend of Bob Moog the 80-year-old (!) and still active (!) Perrey influenced electronic music in the early days like no other. Therefore it was a big honour for Michael Fakesch when he got the offer to do this analogmonster remix.


B1. NOTWIST Gloomy Planets (Fakesch Remix) [Cityslang]
Fakesch got his bavarian mates of Notwist into a new suit with subtle deep electronics and a very surpising end. Due to changes in Notwist's release schedule this remix never came to light and so it's propably one of the highlights on 'Exchange'.


B2. THE BROADWAY PROJECT Paint It Blue (Fakesch Remix) [One Divided Soul]
The Bristol based Dan Berridge is the man behind the Broadway Project which is especially known for their releases on Mark Rae's Grand Central records. Fakesch's remix for 'Paint It Blue' grooves like hell and gets even trumpets scratching...dirty jazz-hiphop with that Flying Lotus flavour.


B3. FRANZ KIRMANN Little Baby Eyes (Fakesch Remix) [Lobe Records]
The most laid-back song of 'Exchange' reminds -obviously intended- of old Boards Of Canada songs. It is the easy-going end of a pretty exciting compilation which proves the Funkstörung chapter only has come to half the end.
