Sheffield based producer Utah? debuts on Coyote Records with new four-track EP, 'Bronze' - the label's first musical output of 2019 following the release of their first annual zine in February. A producer with a distinct flair for hi-def, monochrome synth work and bright, pulsing textures, Utah? is a natural fit amongst a Coyote roster that already includes widescreen, cinematic producers like Silk Road Assassins, E.M.M.A. and Last Japan. New EP 'Bronze' is a testament to his ever-broadening scope and vision too, which first started to unfurl across two standout EPs for Kastle's Symbols imprint in 2015 ('Oxygen') and 2017 ('Nitrogen'). Although rooted in the club, 'Bronze' opens with the twisted, Neo-noir ripple of mind-blurring cut, 'Tilt', before drawing on the pulsing synths of 'Signal', the raw dub-weight of the booming title-track and the rich, ear-worm melodies and insatiable club swing of emphatic final jam, 'Polymer'.[info from label]
