It was this notion that prompted Japan’s UnitedSoul (DJ Uchikawa and Soul-T) to revisit this message, reinterpreting the song as a deep soulful house cut complete with live instrumentation for a new generation.

They also enlisted a stellar cast to provide the remixes.

Osunlade brings the funk out in his extended “Yoruba Soul Mix”, while Ian Friday was so inspired that he decided to make his own cover version with the “Libation Remake” featuring Byron J Moore on vocals.
