The Mixtapers are an Italian band focused on a dynamic, live funk and hip hop sound. Following an appearance on Sonar Kollektiv last year with the We So Good 12inch, they ve been chosen to inaugurate Bakerboy s Agnis Music label with this effervescent EP. The title track on Sun Metaphors uses blissful Rhodes keys as the focal point for a sunkissed slice of vocal deep house, while Smokey Reflection takes a more punchy approach to the drums while maintaining the woozy mood. Trinity kicks off the B-side with some squelchy electro funk stylings, and then Sara Lima lends her vocal tones to downtempo cruiser Stay (Away From Me)
