After his banging EP 1 on AUS, Tee Mangos back for the 5th installment in his Tribute project, inspired by the much referenced Theo Parrish quote: Love of the music should be the driving force of any producer, performer or DJ. Everything else stems from that core, that love. With that love, sampling can become a tribute, An expansion on ideas long forgotten, reconstruction, collage. TIME IS NOW Time is Now comes off like Adamski era Seal rerub for the small hours. Replete with hypnotic looped piano and drums sounding like they were lifted from Vaughan Mason s Raze house archive. Simply sweet sweet electronic music. MAKE IT LAST FOREVER The B side is Tee Mango on home turf, with a selection of choice samples under his cap (from a record you might recognise), some simple loose sampled drums and a smattering of dub delay. Love for this series coming from: Axel Boman, Benji B, Artwork, Fred P, and a heap of others. These Tribute releases sell out pretty quick, my hunch is that these will not hang about.
