Thisisnotanexit Records was established in 2006 to release wild out there dance music inspired by Factory and the legacy of Tony Wilson as well as contemporaries DFA and Output. This is the first of a series of limited edition 12inchs from Thisisnotanexit to launch new acts and comes from Spectral Empire a couple of soundtrack obsessives from London. Taking cues from everything from Zombi to Chateau Flight to Kraftwerk this debut release sits amongst the current proclivity for slowed down disco but made with analogue equipment and infused with heart and soul.
