2011 was a breakthrough year for Smoove & Turrell. The Geordie duo had two singles playlisted by Radio 2 in the UK and were also playlisted by radio stations across Europe, leading to a European tour and a whole slew of festival performances for their live band. In Deep is dubby disco of the highest quality co-written with band member Dave Wilde and with remixes courtesy of label mates Kraak & Smaak (whose last single >Lets Go Back< was in Mixmag & DJ Mags singles of the year), Germanys DJ Friction - who delivers a superb boogie down remix and Smoove who turns in a retouched version plus dub aimed strictly at the dancefloor.
