Cork label Basic Grooves keep the focus on Irish talent for their fifth release as label boss Shane Linehan welcomes his namesake Bambrick into the fold for some well judged, atmospheric deepness. The Process finds the Waterford based producer veering through dark, heads down terrain though the dubby elements are complemented by a woozy melodic melancholy thanks to the gentle chords that spread out. Linehan maintains the Basic Groove momentum on the flip with a remix that is more stripped back, lending those chords some glowing incandescence, whilst the percussion swells with sweet intensity as it progresses.
