The "Special Editions" branch makes its first move of the year with this smokin' hot clutch of nudged up heaters edited by Rune Lindbaek, leading in with a steamy, dreamy version of Lowrell Simons' "Love Message". Lindbaek also tackles "Hologramas" by Frederico Estevez, simmering the track down to a purposeful, immersive drum roll embellished with nothing but some fluttering flute. His take on Craig Peyton's "Be Thankful For What You Got" is all thrumming arps underpinning a cool and deadly synth pop take on the classic soul jam.
