Pako and Fabø aka Rolldabeetz are celebrating their 10th anniversary as a tight musical twosome. They are doing so with some very special events, including the release of the first vinyl EP on Playperview, which brings together two fresh originals plus a remix from Davis & Zopelar.
In the last ten years this talented pair have put out almost twenty singles and have found support from big DJs as well as dancers around the world. They have a fat house sound that is full of invention and new ideas and is always produced with a great sense of style.
The first track here, He Kills For A Prize, proves that. It is a tantalising cut with bleepy melodies and chunky beats making you want to shake your limbs. There is real tension in it that keeps you locked throughout. Overheat is then a darker, more direct tune with frazzled synths spraying about beneath trip melodic sounds. Finally, the acclaimed duo of Davis & Zopelar remix and turn the track into something for the peak time with its sweeping filters, canoeing drums and riotous percussion.
Overall, this is a suitably great EP to make the first vinyl release on Playperview.
