Pontape was originally released on Carl Coxs Intec label back in 2002 and sold over 50000 copies worldwide. This led to Renato playing at clubs around the world such as Fabric, Womb, Space and I Love techno among many more. Renato Cohen has remade his Pontape original eleven years on, bringing new life to one of technos classic records. Beginning with the immediately recognisable droning bass line that has become so synonymous with the release, Cohen introduces a build during the middle section that gives the track a new depth second time around.
