Release #4 on Verdicchio Music Publishing arrives close behind pop driven single "All I Need" in contrasting fashion. Sliding away from robust stabs, and immodest piano hooks, "Sofware" is more genial. While warm, sustained chords blend with tearjerking melodic accents, no specific element takes the lead; the title track is a communal venture. "Dead Channel" follows along similarly, with a timid warble at its core. Halfway through, the harmony seems to all fall apart, but the groove continues and the melody sings to the finish. The B side fades in with a beat-absent number featuring wafts of phased out strings and a sporadic melody that bends and shrieks, all twisted up by a dying Vestax delay. Starting calm, "Scroll Up" moves through waves of soft pads, juggled percussion and digital organ, into a sea of weighty sub and synthetic keys, swiftly followed by a crescendo of progressive stabs and wailing vocals.... not to give it all away.
