A new label from some of the decision makers at Juno arrives in the shape of Love Interest, promising a release schedule that eschews genres in favour of seeking out international talent that piques their fancy. Minneapolis-based Nyteowl is at the helm for the first release with >Love Of Mine<. This clear vinyl twelve inch edition sports two fine remixes from Boy 8 Bit and Mighty Mouse, which naturally take the 80s swagger of the original in differing directions. Boy 8 Bit calls on all his studio trickery with a remix that constantly shifts sonically before dropping into an excellent final detuned synth passage, whilst nu-disco troupe Mighty Mouse are on soaring form, adding some meat to that beat, whilst Nyteowls vocal hitches a ride on an upwards arpeggio.
