Rocio is the debut EP from a new minimal dark techno label, 3 different tracks by a new artist and label co-owner DAFR A.K.A Matterwave, this cosmic lover make his first solo project including a remix of the Swedish / Berliner based producer and special influence for the label Staffan Linzatti (Searchlights Records, Field Records, Chronicle Recordings, Balans among others).
A-side
“Drops of new day” starts the EP, 128 bpm track with a progressive drums, dominant volatile bass, drones and strange hypnotic-melody arpeggio. On the A2 track named as a EP “Rocío”, DAFR continues with a 128 bpm blunt percussive track with a main dark techno melody dancing with two other synths in the space-time.
B-side
“Morning yearning” rises with an arpeggio that never ends playing itself with a basic techno drums at 130 bpm. The last track of the EP is a magical remix of “Rocío” where Staffan breaks the drums rules and plays with the strings in 6 minutes of dark celestial sound at 134 bpm.
