Without a doubt it is one of the strongest pieces so far to come out of the mind of Matt Star. Morphology, the title track is a trip that is leading us directly into the center of the dancefloor. It is characterized by its enormous dynamic, a deep & dirty roughness that comes up alongside an unstoppable kind of a mesmerizing groove - this one, for sure, is going to be loved by all fans of the usual suspects that are playing in the global champions league of modern high quality techno music. MttStr on the flip side seem to be building up a bit more subtle. Both of them show Matts talent for patiently modulating sounds creating almost extraterrestrial fluid grooves. Both sides of the record are bringing an overall energy containing several well placed breakdowns and carefully crafted moments of high tension before Matt is letting things kick back into full force again.
