Following a string of well-received outings for the project on his own Black Catalogue label, Monty Luke debuts his Mandingo alias on Matt Edwards Rekids with the Parallel Universe EP. Firmly establishing himself as a brightly talented producer, DJ and A&R over the past eight years with releases on Planet E and Mothership in addition to his own Detroit-based imprint, the San Franciscan s three tracks offer alternate perspectives on his richly honed sound, drawing on influences from his homes old and new as well as further afield, such as the hybrid electronic sounds of London and Bristol.
