American King Most is no stranger to tidy, effective edits and got this new label underway in style with the first release last year. After too long away, he's back with more here and kicks off with a mash-up of some classic soul and new school r&b. The two original tunes collide perfectly here with funky basslines and guitar riffs under heart-melting female vocals. On the flip, a stone-cold Erykah Badu gem gets reworked into a slow, fat-bottomed ska and dub blend that is going to sound seriously big on a hot day through a proper sound system.
