The title track from Johannes Beck springs from the universal urge to explore the night and to let oneself go. Floating between bliss and melancholy, strolling like in a dream, this track goes out to all princes and princesses of the night. For the A-side, the Leipzig-based producer Map.ache, co-founder of the label KANN and half of the DJ-duo Manamana, contributed a remix of PRINCE OF THE NIGHT. Two tracks by Johannes Beck were part of KANN’s first release KANN00 and his piece RENDEZVOUS can be found on KANN’s latest compilation “Family Horror”. Map.ache’s “Daylight Remix” of PRINCE OF THE NIGHT embodies the first rays of light in the morning that chase the night away and spread warmth and energy all around.
The second track on the B-side of this record was created in cooperation by Johannes Beck and Tristen, who is the owner of the label AIM and part of the WHITE-collective. Their jointly produced track MIDNIGHT slowly and emotively builds suspense before releasing its energy and serenity.[mutual02_info from dnp]
