Another Girl is a brand new A Side backed with remixes from London heavyweight and Rinse FM futurist Braiden and Mark Flash from the very legendary Underground Resistance movement. Another Girl shows the continued development of Jacques sound, with a deep beating heart of analogue bass drawn around glistening RnB vocals – this is a warm sweep of modern house designed to cast a spell on the club.
The B-side offers remixes to two key tracks from Jacques debut EP with us. First up Braiden takes Holdin On to a pitch-black dancefloor and uses his signature textured atmospheres to pull something aggressive out of the jackin’ original. Then UR’s Mark Flash follows with a re-up of The Look that delivers one of the most satisfying slabs of Detroit techno you might of heard in years . Its masterstroke is sounding exactly how a UR remix ought to sound. The whole record is legit. Since The Look dropped there has been a storm of attention around the 21 year old Montreal based prodigy: serious airplay, mixtapes, leaks, remixes and print press - all multiplied by real word of mouth.
