Fresh from Lovers Rock: two new hypnotic live takes from Ital, recorded at Red Bull studios in Madrid this June. Aptly-titled a-side *Throbbing* rides a spiraling arpeggio in and out of focus against a jacking 909 beat, while *Nodding* builds from a simple motif into a resonating, full-immersion soundscape. Continuing the thread started earlier this year with his 12 inch for Workshop and the Interplanetary Prophets collaboration with Jamal Moss, *Throbbing / Nodding* showcases Itals move away from a computer-based approach into live hardware. The results are two stunning balancing acts, simultaneously propulsive and melting, mysterious and raw.
