What began with a long running Glaswegian club night called Wrong Island has turned into a London-based label of the same name. Launching in impressive fashion with some auspicious analogue fetishism from M O O N (aka Jimmy Murphys nephew) Wrong Island demonstrate their approach will be a diverse one with a second 12 inch that features their own remixes of Helium Robots and Ghanaian-Austrian singer, Anbuley.

Hypnosis is the central theme here, think back to vintage DFA and those B Sides from the likes of LCD Soundsystem and The Juan Maclean where a groove was tweaked with deadly precision and you're in the right frame of mind for this pair of reworks. Leading the way is a drawn out take in "Delve" by Helium Robots that takes in equal measures of Italo and acid - you can totally see Dan Avery working the Fabric crowd with this one. It's complemented nicely by the Banishment remix of Anbuley's "Kemoo' Yo Keke" which transforms the spiritual original into a humongous slab of arpeggio driven acid. A printed insert suggests there is plenty more of interest to come from Wrong Island.
