Synapsis Records is back with a excursion into deep house with a new record from Hakim Murphy called Moonbeam Express EP. In this presentation there are three tracks that explore the deeper side of Murphys subconscious in which he describes this vinyl sound as an express trip to the moon through cosmic textures, deep grooves, and subliminal funk. Moonbeam Express egins the journey of soft pads that beam you up to a nice bass sound, strings, and moving percussion. Weep has deep pads that begin the piece as a melody, then strings, and bass soon follow to open up moods of deepness. Flirt is an uptempo joint that begins with a smooth synth then proceeds into a piano riff that sneaks up on you and teases your eardrums. Yeah taking it deep.
