The 'Old Feelings' EP was supported by a broad spectrum of DJs, with leading names including Laura Jones, Hunee and Jacques Renault. Since that time, Giovanni has gone on to release more high-end music of top labels such as Landed, Skylax, Geography and Black Key. So it's a welcome return for the Italian to the belfast based imprint. This time for a special vinyl only release on Seven's 'Seven Limited (7LTD)' sublabel. The EP kicks off with a deep, groovy, Chicago inspired track entitled 'Summer Rain'. then leading into '2 Birds' which has a jazzier and deeper feel, reminiscent of many MCDE track. The B side then takes things a little more underground. 'Polo' starts with a more latin House vibe, but when the acid kicks in we're led straight to Detroit. Finishing up the release is 'Balboa Jab'. The funky and live feel of this track is the perfect way to end yet another excellent release for Giovanni and Seven!
