The A side - Electric Plum - pays tribute to the might of P-Funk, Bootsy ‘n’ Bernie’s unison bass stylings coupled with a big unreliable analog synth calling the crowd to party. On the B side Purple Ash evokes the days when synth pioneers just wanted to make funk tracks. Look out for the big mood swing - the only thing missing is Chaka herself. The good news is that these tracks have been given a thorough road testing by the Chairman himself - Andrew Weatherall has been playing these (and a big bunch of other tici taci pre-releases) over the last few months - check tici taci’s soundcloud page for links to AW mixes.
