London based label Akute offer up their debut release with a diverse journey through techno from the elusive artist Dempa. The title track Scabulous employs a pounding, deep sensibility combined with jerking rhythms and distant chords welcoming the trippiest of dance floors. On the flip, Alphecca digs deeper still into the depths of bubbling, bass heavy techno, spanking the listener into a kaleidoscope of polyrhythms. Bricage starts on a somber note with lush tape driven modular sequencers and acid squelches, building up to a full frontal speaker assault.
