Dc Salas, new kid on the block from the Brussels Harlem called Uccle ... hmm ... only kidding ... with a Hispanic name like that you should have some kind of street credentials on the scene, but hey you can’t win them all ;) . Anyway Diego passed through the recordstore with a demo full of little nuggets about a year ago and “Peru” was stuck on eternal repeat ever since then ... half a miracle in a recordstore flooded weekly with the newest cutting edge releases and enough a reason to release it alongside with some nice remixes and a second original Dc Salas track baptised “Petit Bonheur”.

Geoffroy, who uses the Doctor Vinyl store as his one stop office “In Town”, immediately fell for the charm of the original track and wanted to do a re-touched Mugwumpian version of it asap. A few studio sessions with partner Kolombo later the “Go Bang!” remix saw the light of day : floating somewhere between an oldskool “Bocaccio” and/or Amsterdam “Roxy” flavour it immediately attracted massive attention from dj’s of all horizons ... Included as the opening track in his Dj Broadcast podcast “The Sound Of Cologne”, everybody went crazy about that “unavailable” first tune ;)

As things go, the Berlin connection of the Doctor Vinyl recordstore was always inevitable and omnipresent, so, when Dave Dk wandered through the doors of the shop he immediately wanted to do a version of “Peru” he could play in his sets in Watergate or Panorama Bar. With his “Berlin Brussels Connection” reversion he accomplished his mission with panache and the track already turned out to be a firm favourite with all the Berlin and “nu” house jocks. Dave reduces and teases the elements of the original in a relentless maelstrom custom made for an endless Berlin night, a hint of Basic Channel and a lot of e-motion ;)

To complete this ep, another little gem of the original demo, “Petit Bonheur”, the one that has been getting plays all over Studio Brussels since the last few months and could have been an a-side, too bad ... You’ll get it as an extra on the B-side ;)
