Jay Mond is a Spanish transplant to Berlin, Germany. Her eclectic, mature sound belies her youth, as she combines tough drum programming with jagged synths on ‘Green Adventures.’ Jenifa Mayanja turns in a classic example of her sound on ‘Wide Awake,’ complete with Jenifa vocal samples, soulful keys, and a rolling arrangement culminating in a deep dance floor experience. Lilith, from Los Angeles, CA opens the B side with ‘Shadow Boxing,’ a tracky affair with swooping risers, punchy kicks, and moody chords. Dakini9 closes the EP with ‘NRG & Power,’ a sample-driven night light deep house jam.
