Chicago Flotation Device follow up last year s brutal Untitled acid excursions with a lighter but still pounding 12- on their self-titled, self-released imprint. Higher is an extended peak-time acid jam, culled from hours of scissor-sythed outtake tapes and 3rd floor studio sessions, distilled into one bubbling, screeching banger. Untitled 9 is a subtler take on the CFD sound. A clean 808-led, floating Juno jam that drifts undetected in the dark waters off Scarborough bay.
