Having originally surfaced on DJ Deep s Deeply Rooted House label back in 2011, the appropriately named Bleak brings his stern Ekko track back into focus on his own Naura label, inviting two titans of contemporary techno to do the remix business on the track. First up is Skudge, who get things marching at an urgent pace with their usual knack for ear snagging sonic hooks and unrelenting kick drums. Meanwhile Markus Suckut makes a more weighty interpretation of the track, slowing the tempo and adding all kinds of sub pressure to make for a truly killer workout. As a bonus, the original track is present on the B-side in all its mean-tempered glory.
