Welcoming a new face to the family, Figure proudly introduces Arthur Robert. The Amsterdam-based producer emerges onto the scene fully formed, with a sound that is rich in detail as it channels a puristic groove. Inspired from a past of jungle and drum & bass, Robert now composes via an array of live electronics, infusing his productions with the fluidity and vitality of a direct recording. This first part of a forthcoming double EP showcases a matured sound, featuring deep, hypnotic trips, swelling, and swerving dub chords, dreamy break-science and finally the amalgamation of it all - a distinctly unique sound by an artist we hope to be presenting more of in the near future.[info sheet from distr.]
