The record moves from the jagged percussion and train-whistle chords of “Palenque” through the twisted brain dance of the 808 cowbells on “Death Mask” and concludes on a hypnotic note with the two versions of “Cinder Cone”. Patrick Russell’s remix re-imagines the warping drones of the original with a stepping 170 BPM drum n bass crossover version.
