Chicago based producers Jason Patrick and 4 Track Recordings label owner DJ Hyperactive have worked together twice beforehand now return with a third EP as Aliasing. 'The Second Sun' is a fizzing, static-charged techno cut with a menacing energy that washes over you repeatedly as the chunky kicks plod on. 'Jet Lag' brings a tribal feel with a phased lead synth that's fat and unsettling and never quits. 'Extended' shuts down with the sort of kinetic drum programming that has strobe-lit floors in a frenzy, with a third a final eerie lead again doing plenty of cerebral work.[info sheet from distr.]
