Das Album "Nonetheless" erscheint am 26.04.2024 und ist das erste Album des Duos, das mit James Ford produziert wurde. Ford kennt man für seine Arbeiten mit Künstlern wie Arctic Monkeys, Depeche Mode, Blur, Gorillaz und Simian Mobile Disco kennt. „Nonetheless“ enthält 10 brandneue Tracks, die letztes Jahr in London aufgenommen und abgemischt wurden, hauptsächlich im Studio von James Ford in East London. Das Orchester und die Backing Vocals wurden im The Church Studio in North London aufgenommen. Das Album erscheint als CD, als Deluxe CD, die zusätzlich zur Standard CD eine EP mit 4 zusätzlichen Track enthält und als LP.
Die Musik auf „nonetheless“ ist sowohl erhebend als auch nachdenklich, musikalisch halten die zehn Songs eine Mischung aus Elektronik, Live-Instrumenten und orchestralen Arrangements bereit. Wie man es von den Pet Shop Boys kennt, liegt der Fokus auf starken Melodien und ihrem unverkennbaren Songwriting, das sie mit einem frischen, offenen Geist für neue Ansätze kombinieren.

Gut vier Jahre nach dem letzten Album können sich Fans der Pet Shop Boys in diesem Jahr auf ein neues Album des Duos freuen: Für den 26. April haben Neil Tennant und Chris Lowe die Veröffentlichung von "nonetheless" angekündigt, ein Album mit 10 Tracks, das über Parlophone Records erscheinen wird. Im Sommer folgt eine Tour durch europäische Stadien (in DE stehen im Juni Shows in Mannheim, Berlin und Hannover auf dem Plan), außerdem haben Pet Shop Boys fünf besondere Abende im Londoner Royal Opera House im Juli bestätigt. Produced by James Ford, the music on ‘Nonetheless’ is both uplifting and reflective, mixing electronics, live instruments, and orchestral arrangements. The songs are very melodic and quintessentially Pet Shop Boys with a fresh, open sound, bringing together classic strands of PSB song-writing and moving them in new directions.
