This record is a (mostly) LA based affair, starting with “JAM’S THEME”, a clever flip of a classic from veteran producer and former UNDERGROUND RESISTANCE member SANTIAGO SALAZAR. Next up is “EN ECHO”, a deep and dubby affair from ECHO PARK’s KELVIN K, a seminal figure in SF’s early 00’s house scene. Label owners TEFLON DONS open the B side with a tough, deep garage cut that would have likely set the UK garage scene on fire. Unfinished since '98, the DONS thankfully revisited this lost classic for some finishing touches. Rounding out the release is the mysterious WESTCOAST GODDESS, whose “FIRST TEAR” emotes a melancholy beauty reminiscent of HANNA’s early work.
