Late last year, we modestly celebrated the sixth anniversary of LPH Records by releasing a 10-inch that reconnected us with our very first EP by bringing back two of the artists who contributed to it, Runaway and Soft Rocks. Now, as a sort of companion to that, we have LPH___VI , a 7-inch that gives shine to a couple other names that have been spotted on LPH party flyers of old and back catalog credits, Jacques Renault and Daniel T. Both these are fun, flavorful little disco nugs united by funky bass guitar fretwork and plenty of sassy woodblock, though Jacques leans towards the goofy and daffy, whereas Daniels brings some synth-pop seriousness into the frame. As befits the format, both hover around four minutes in length.
