Viennese techno imprint Bare Hands is pushing its rugged, warm analogue sound towards new territories with‚ European Moral Standards’. Following up their first release, Bare Hands opt for rather eclectic Soundscapes, yet keeping analogue roughness and a spontaneous feel in their focus.

On side A, Herla’s offshoot Sedvs, leaves the comfort zone of 4x4 with ‚Ritual Purity’, delivering a sonic exploration of rough, stabbing waves of synths embedded in gloomy, washed-out drums, yet keeping one foot in the club with ‚Protect and Serve’, a true ‘left of the field’ delicacy, meant to cook up the floor right before the main dish is served.

The B Side, host to mysterious outfit Stock Projects, kicks off with‚ ,Same 1’, a toolish, subby basement workhorse driven by a relentless kick topped with hypnotizing hats to send any floor off into lock step. ‚Same 2’ however, provides a bouncy neo-technoid cut, reminiscing the gems of a lost era without stepping too far away from the dodgy, sweaty dancefloor it calls home.
