Deetron founded the label, Character, based on his passion for creating and discovering music. The label will serve as an independent outlet for music without boundaries, welcoming releases from both a plethora of artists, as well as the man himself. It will be a platform for recordings beyond the confines of one particular genre, created to produce music, in its purest form.

The inaugural record, which is designed for the dance floor, finds Deetron teaming up with Ripperton under their rarely seen Roots Panorama moniker. The concept behind the pairing is to get together in the studio, have a jamming session, then individually craft a track each coming away with 2 interpretations of their session.


"Mars" sees Deetron's version focus on the melodic and bright aspect of the original recording, whilst Ripperton takes things deeper into darker territory leading towards a finale with the sort of arresting arpeggio that only he can come up with.[txt from ]
