After Take 1 comes Take 2, it sometimes really is that simple. Together with the Pre-Take that came out before the summer this third volume in WPHs Our Beat Is Still New project completes the 12 tracks that form the album. More members of the core WPH family are on board here, but we also welcome some newcomers to the label.

Sales Information:

The A-side opens up with what we have always considered to be the Dresden counterpart to WPH, the Uncanny Valley family of Jacob Korn, Credit 00 and Sneaker. With ‘Drum Abuse’ the provide the roughest track of the compilation, and one that will have techno DJ’s play new beat again… The second track on the A-side comes courtesy of Jacques Renault & Mark Verbos aka Goodnight Moon, giving a serious New York rendition of new beat.

On the B-side we have Social Disco Club and Outlander, both no strangers to WPH, and both very much on point again here. Social Disco Club marries his trademark deep house sound with a new beat feel, and Outlander was pretty much there when new beat started, so he provides us with vintage machine slowness straight from new beat heaven.

Is this the end of it? Well, you either know WPH or you don’t…

DJ / Press Quotes
Axel Boman: AB Theme - Axel Boman Theme???? Can it be so??? I love it! That song by Max Erotic is making me so wet as well... And that fat Outlander track! I’m very happy that you make this nice tribute to the wonderfully weird and chunky piece of musical history that is new beat.
Joris Voorn: Sweet compilation, love the nostalgic feel!
Locked Groove: Go go go, another stormer!
James ‘Rekids’ Masters: Old beats, best beats.
Alex Barck: Strong, love it!
Kristian Ame: Great!
Jacques Renault: I’m biased, but this is a great release.
Roberto Rodriguez: This is the good stuff! Great compilation! Loving the band names :-)
Darko Esser: The alter ego of Aril put a big smile on my face, so funny ;-) Cool tunes all around! Not something I would play, but I do enjoy listening to this at home!
Joe Goddard: Love this!
JD Twitch: So many gems. Particularly like the San Soda, Sebastien San, Red D, Serial Error (almost thought this was a lost Patrick De Meyer track for a minute!) and Marcos Salon tracks (yay!!!! what a hero).
Bushwacka: A c i d…
Luke Solomon: Killer killer!
