This period of his life, and a lust for soulful music from any country or continent, has clearly left marks in his production style today. Through the years he has collaborated and experimented in various genres to keep his output versatile. His current sound is somewhere between glitchy yet dance floor oriented beats and bass driven electronica. Includes remixes by Roman Rauch and Lupo and a code for free download of this release.
In his debut EP „Taken By Surprise“ his current and forward thinking approach can be heard very clearly. Both tracks showcase his individual approach and are without a doubt meant for the dance floor.
The title track represents the more soulful side of this EP and constantly hits the listener with surprise. „Untitled“ has a deeper UK flavour, with a definite garage edge. The Remixes are supplied by Lupo, who puts a touch of German flair into his remix of „Untitled“ and Roman Rauch, who was featured on Gilles Peterson‘s „Masterpiece“ compilation. Rauch has also released on Berlin‘s „Tenderpark“ label, and adds a smooth and rolling 4 to the floor touch to his remix of „Taken By Surprise“.
